The 2010 Ellicottville Ultra is on deck for Sunday, August 8th starting at 10am at the Holiday Valley Mountain Sports Center in Ellicottville's Holiday Valley Resort. Our 2010 event features two course distances to choose from: A 4-Mile course around resort trails features wide, fire road climbs, twisty single track and fun and attention getting downhill sections. Our 12-Mile course is a granddaddy featuring mile after mile of amazing deep woods trails, challenging climbs, fire road sections, almost endless single track and eye opening fast downhill sections. With just over 1,200 feet of elevation changes our 12-mile course is one of the most challenging courses in Western New York and demands endurance, stamina and sure footedness in order to finish with a smile. Runners will traverse gravel, hardpack, rock gargens and forest trails in State Land on the 12-Mile course. One water station for the 4-Mile course and three water stations for the 12-Mile course will keep participants re-fuelled for the day's work ahead. Post-race party & speedy awards ceremony immediately following the race. Great door prizes for both race distances and a fun, family atmosphere promises 2010 will be another great year at the Ellicottville Ultra Trail Run.
