What happens in the woods stays in the woods...
8 in the Rough Trail Run rips into another year of action on the relentless course that runners love to test. A gentle rolling pavement start sends runners into wide, rolling trails on a calm cool Sunday morning for an 8.7-mile test of strength, fitness and cross-country trail running. BAM! Single Track heaven featuring tight, twisty & rooty trails fit for today's endurance trail runner. A few small creek crossings (sometimes dry, sometimes not so dry) and the Skunk Ridge climbing finish wind down the wam-bam thank you mam fall destination trail running race in Western New York. Two water stations on the course. Warm/dry spacious lodge for pre/post race comfort and an amazing post-race party featuring world-class door prizes from our terrific sponsors plus great conversation discussing the morning's wounds. Pre-register to guarantee your place on the starting line. T-shirts to the first 175 and as they last on race-day. Rain or shine.
Race-day registration opens at 8am at the Sprague Brook Park casino building to the left as you enter the Park. Pleas watch your speed when driving in the Park. Plenty of parking, rest-rooms on site, tent & some trailer camping available by contacting Sprague Brook Park in advance. A jewel of a park set in the breathtaking wooded southtowns of Western New York.
