The Annual Sprague Brook Scramble is on deck!
Showshoes take the stage at Sprague Brook Park's XC Ski Hut in Glenwood, NY. First timer or seasoned expert all it takes is a pair of snowshoes and you're in on one of the most picturesque and challenging courses in WNY snowshoeing history! 1-Mile, 2.5 or 5-mile courses. The courses consists of the Parks XC ski trails and parkways which are rolled with grooming equipment (based on frozen ground/snow conditions) prior & after so skiing can resume but at 10am on race-day it's all about snowshoeing. Entrants compete in a mass-start format and proceed around the course for awards and bragging rights during the annual scramble. You'll sweat, your heart will pound and you'll acheive one of the greatest thirlls of the winter season in the Scramble. Gear for Adventure in Hamburg will be on-hand to assist with rentals. Stay tuned if a post-ponement is needed.
Registration and # pickup from 9am at the XC ski warming hut to the right as you pull in the park from 9am. 10am races start. Pre-register and get your custom Scramble button. Race-day registration welcome as well. Post-race awards & door prizes. Awards to OA M/F in each distance plus 10 deep.
New to snowshoeing and want to give it a whirl? Check out the scarmble! It's a heart-pounding experience and a thrill of an effort to complete. Walkers are allowed on the short course only. There will also be a 1-mile course for those looking to take part at a leisure pace. Gear for Adventure will be on-site providing rentals. Get there early to get yours!

The XC Ski Loop is dedicated to cross country skiing. Please help keep the tracks for skiing in place and snowshoe/footprint/fatbike free during the season. The Park grooms prior & after for this special event helping please all.
