The Flatliner...
The Flatliner is an addictive and challenging, hilly road running series held on the lower roads of Chestnut Ridge Park. A paved and hilly forest road 3-mile course makes the Flatliner a must-do and heart thumping run. The Flatliner series pits you against the ridge on twisty and hilly paved park roads in this 4-consecutive week race series. Race one or as many as your heart desires. Complete any three and you're automatically qualified for series awards at the final race. TEST YOURSELF! Weekly door prizes and give-aways. Awards are not issued for individual races.
Race it or walk it-all are welcome to take part in the series or individual weekly events. Pre-register for the series and save time at check-in or sign-up for individual races every week. No-one will be turned away to race.
Newton Road parking lot (look for race tent). Rain, snow or shine(Unless Park is closed due to weather since this section is not plowed). Restrooms are available up at the Casino Building and you will need to use these beautiful, large and expansive restrooms you'll need to enter via the main entrance to access the Casino. This is a fully outdoor event. No indoor facilities at the race site aside from picnic shelter & parking lots.
$15 per event on-site weekly per race.
Series t-shirts are available pre-order and are they slick.
Series awards in 5-year age groups sorted by your top-three finish times.
The Flatliner Series helps support HEART Animal Shelters of WNY.
Pets are prohibited on-course during races. Stay tuned to this site if we have a blizzard or have to postpone.
Series Participation:
Age groups & Category awards for those completing at least 3 of the 4 races using your best 3 times: Overall Male, Female & Masters awards. 5-year USATF age groups. U14 through 80+ custom medals top three places each age group.
If a race is postponed or canceled we will do our best to consolidate the series or extend by a week or so.
Directions to the start/registration:
Take Rt. 219 (North or South) exit at Armor Duells. Make Right on Armor Duells and a right at the first light on Chestnut Ridge Rd. Go through first signal (Powers Rd.) and make a right on Newton. Park entrance is on the left featuring plenty of parking and race tent.
The main Park entrance is further up Chestnut Ridge Rd. If the gates are open you can make a right after entering Park that way to get to the Newton Rd. lot.
