Cancelled for 2017 due to Logging Activity/Trail Conditions Holiday Valley's Mountain Sports Center Rt. 219 Ellicottville, NY
|
The 2017 6 Hours of Power Mountain Bike Race will not take place this year. Logging activity on top of Resort property currently poses a significant impact on a main portion of this race-loop. Due to the wet spring and logging schedules the completion date is too close to the race date to confirm trails will be sustainable and safe for bicycles in an event of this nature (multi-lap). Given the uncertainty of dry/wet weeks ahead there's no guarantee that we can provide the safest venue so we must execute this decision, and it is not an easy one for THIS RACE ROCKS! Thank you for your understanding. The balance of events on our calendar at HV are scheduled to take place as previously planned including the EVL-Trail Runs.
